Helen Playford's expertise is in Fine Arts and public speaking. A leading portrait artist, landscape, still life, abstract painter, arts lecturer, workshop tutor and frequent cruise traveller. Previous business interests including a drafting office in the Mining, Oil exploration and Arts sponsorship. Successful exhibitions in England, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Perth West Australia. Artworks include a series of commissioned portraits of 'Women in Law', a series of photographs for older women in 'Calendar Girls', design of ECU University Chancellor Regalia and portrait of HRH Princess Anne for NFA. Helen Playford's works are represented in many international private collections, with many tv and radio interviews.
The Lectures and Workshops.
These are exclusively created for Leisure Cruise Industry passengers. Short, interesting, amusing, educational, with a finished end result. The workshops and artwork results can be displayed on the internal shipboard tv program. The workshops provide personal classes, with materials supplied. They cover an introduction to drawing as a self expression, right brain drawing exercises, cultural patterns, drawing of objects, colour pencil techniques of blending and shading, and creating artwork postcards.
